Muslim Human Rights

In Syria, we used to tell this joke: an American man was telling his Syrian friend about America: “Do you know that I can stand in the main square of any city and talk publicly against the President of the United States of America? And the Syrian friend replied: “And do you know that I can stand in the main square of any Syrian city and talk publicly against the President of the United States, too!”

People, there are parallels between this joke and what is happening today with the demands that Muslims are making globally.

Muslims demand the right to build a mosque in every European city, but they do not allow building of any churches in most of Islamic countries!  In fact, churches in some Islamic dominated countries are strictly for foreigners and not for local Christians!

Muslims demand that their mosques be protected from graffiti and vulgar words while they destroy and burn Christian churches in Indonesia, Turkey, Egypt and Sudan, to name just a few!

Muslims demand the right to use loud speakers in their mosques to call the “flock” to prayers while it is forbidden in Islamic dominated countries for Christian churches to ring their bells!

Muslims in Western countries now have retail outlets specifically for the distribution of Halal food, while Christians in the Gulf and elsewhere are told to buy and eat food according to Muslim rules!

Muslims demand that the entire world respect Islamic symbols, like the hijab, but no Christian symbols, like the cross, should appear in their countries!

Muslims demand that the Quran be distributed in the West while the Gospel of our Lord and Savior is forbidden in Saudi Arabia…BUT Adolph Hitler’s book, “Mein Kampf” (My Struggle), a book proroguing Nazi ideology, is perfectly acceptable reading there!

Muslims can tell a Christian that they cannot work for them because the Christian has a chain and cross around his/her neck…BUT a Christian, or anyone else for that matter, is singled out as a racist or a bigot if they refuse to employ a Muslim woman with a hijab (except in the Canadian Province of Quebec).

Muslims have the right to protect Muhammad, even to place a reward on the head of anyone who slightly defames their prophet…BUT Muslims and anyone else can speak sacrilegiously about Jesus or other sacred things that are not Islamic! Just this past week, in Pakistan, ambassadors from most Muslim nations met to debate the issue of blasphemy across the West. The report of this meeting, as written by Saad Rasool, also stated: “The anti-blasphemy laws, across the world, are meant to protect the sentiments of those who follow and practice the religion”. Really? These Muslim ambassadors will be delivering a message to the United Nations in hopes of eventually acquiring a declaration protecting their prophet from all forms of blasphemy.

Finally, the West, whenever it engages in wars, Muslims refer to this act as a crusade. BUT Muslims who go to war are doing so under the guise of “holiness”, a war that is clean and useful, even those acts which terrorists commit in Syria and Iraq and elsewhere.

So, like in the joke at the beginning of this article, can you see the similarity?
